"I am the light of the world, whosoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life".  John 8:12
Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God. Psalms 146:5
Beams of Hope

Beams of hope God freely gives,
Little treasures your life He fills.

Reaching out to the oppressed.
Shinning beams of tenderness.

Giving hope to all in need,
Shinning beams for you and me.

They are precious gifts from God above,
His way of showing His perfect love.

A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold
in settings of silver.  Proverbs 25:11
My Place of Hope
We all need a place to come and unwind,
A place to go, when life has been unkind.

If you've ever felt this way before,
Welcome, as you enter and open the door.

You will find a lot of things here to help you unwind,
So, sit back enjoy and take your time.

Beams of Hope
By: John Stines

Where there is no light,
There is total darkness.
Where there is total darkness,
One gropes about aimlessly,
Not knowing where he turns,
Nor the direction of his steps.
When a beam of light shines
Into that darkness,
And the one who is in total darkness
Sees that beam,
He can follow the beam that shines forth,
And can know the direction of his steps.
If he follows the beam long and far enough,
He will be led to the Source from which it came. I, the Lord, am the Source of light,
From whom beams shine forth.
You, My children are the beams of hope,
To lead the hopeless out of total darkness.
John Stines gave me permission to use his poem on my site. He wrote a poem with the same title as one of mine and I think it goes so well. If you would like to read more of his poems, just click on the url below.
