We should have joy in our life. We should have a skip in our step, a song in our heart. That's what makes this journey we walk easier to bear. This joy should be expressed on our face, with a radiance that reflects the peace and confidence of a heart at rest in the Lord, knowing He is our help, our hope. Joy is more than happiness. Happiness depends on our circumstances, but our joy depends on Jesus Christ. We can rejoice whatever our situation or circumstance may be, for our joy is in the Lord. Real joy doesn't mean the absence of trials or sorrow, but the joy of the Lord in the midst of them. Even when our eyes are flooded with tears, His joy can fill our hearts. He is our very source for living, our peace, our hope. We can rejoice in Him, knowing He is in control of our very life. Each one of us can experience God's joy. It depends on our attitude. It is our choice. "Make a choice to rejoice always". Put a smile on your face. It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and is nature's best antidote for trouble. Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give." A smile cost nothing but gives much. In enriches those who receive it. It takes but a moment to give one, but the memory of it could last a lifetime. |

God's Joy The joy of the Lord God puts in my soul, When I put my trust in Him and let Him have control. God's joy replaces the moaning and the groaning, And, each day He gives is like a new dawning. Joy can keep you well, Joy can keep when you've failed. Joy can give you perfect peace, Joy can make your problems cease. Walk in God's joy everyday, He's got places for you to go, and things for you to say. Spread God's joy all around, Then God's love can be found. It is up to you how you live this life, You choose whether to cry or laugh. Do not focus on life's cares, Go to the Word, and get filled there.
