Thanksgiving is a time to offer thanks to our God for all of His many blessings. It is a time for family gatherings and holiday meals. Thanksgiving is a holiday that encourages us to stop and give thanks for all things. It is a time of gratitude to God. It is a time to reflect on God's goodness. Let us remember the true meaning of Thanksgiving, giving God all the glory and honor for all things He so gladly bestows upon us. We are a priviledged people. Let us truly be thankful this thanksgiving.
"In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Gratitude is an attitude. It 's what molds us and shapes our lives. It is not just something we do. Our attitude makes all the difference in how we live our lives.  Being thankful comes from a heart filled with the awareness of the goodness of the Lord.  Thanksgiving expreses gratitude for what God does for us. We should praise and thank God for who He is, thanking Him in all circumstances, knowing that He is working for our good.
All Things Bright and Beautiful
By: Cecil Frances Alexander

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful;
The Lord God made them all.

God gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.
Thank Him

Sometimes we feel so much joy within our breast,
When we think of how much we are blessed.

When we take time to thank God above,
We express our joy and share His love.

We should give Him thanks when things are going well,
And, also, give Him thanks when we feel over-whelmed.

This reveals a loving, trusting heart,
Then we know we are doing our part.

In all circumstances God is near,
Therefore knowing this, we should not fear.

For when we do the thing that we should,
We know He's working for our good.

When your life is in God's hands,
We know He has a plan.

For, when we thank Him for all things and accept his will,
Our caring, loving God will bless us and His purposes fulfill.

A Thanksgiving Prayer

Our Father in Heaven,
We give thanks for the pleasure
of gathering together for this occasion.
We give thanks for this food
prepared by loving hands.
We give thanks for life, the freedom
to enjoy it all and all other blessings.
As we partake of this food,
We pray for health and strength to carry on
and try to live as you would have us.
This we ask in the name of Christ
Our Heavenly Father.
Remember the best grace comes from the heart.
Show your thankfulness this thanksgiving.
Share your blessings! Create a memory!
I pray that God will richly bless you this thanksgiving, as you give thanks to Him for all He has done.
